 Terms and Conditions for Chef AI – Cooking Recipes

Welcome to Chef AI – Cooking Recipes (“Chef AI”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the app.

1. Description of the Service

Chef AI is an AI-powered cooking assistant that allows users to:

  • Generate recipes from photos of ingredients or dishes

  • Generate recipes from ingredient lists

  • Generate recipes by analyzing YouTube cooking videos

The app uses third-party services, including artificial intelligence APIs, to process user inputs and generate recipe content dynamically.

2. Eligibility

Chef AI is intended for users aged 13 years or older.
By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. No Account Required

Chef AI does not require account creation or user authentication.
Users may access the app anonymously without providing personal information such as name, email address, or phone number.

4. Free Trial and Subscriptions

Chef AI offers a free trial period that allows users to access premium features for a limited time.

After the free trial expires:

  • Continued access to premium features requires an active subscription

  • Subscriptions are processed and managed through Google Play In-App Billing

  • Pricing and subscription terms are displayed clearly before purchase

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the Google Play Store settings.

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Chef AI uses artificial intelligence services (including OpenAI APIs) to analyze images, text, and video links provided by users.

You understand and agree that:

  • Generated recipes are produced automatically by AI

  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or variations

  • Recipes are provided for informational and inspirational purposes only

Chef AI does not guarantee nutritional accuracy, cooking results, or suitability for dietary or medical needs.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as images, ingredient lists, or YouTube links).

By using Chef AI, you grant us a limited, temporary right to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the app’s functionality.

Uploaded images and inputs are:

  • Processed temporarily

  • Not stored permanently

  • Deleted automatically after processing

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for unlawful purposes

  • Upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or disrupt the app or its services

  • Misuse the AI services in a way that violates third-party terms

We reserve the right to restrict access if misuse is detected.

8. Third-Party Services

Chef AI relies on third-party services, including but not limited to:

  • OpenAI (AI processing)

  • YouTube API (video analysis)

  • Firebase and Google Analytics (analytics and performance monitoring)

  • Google Play Billing (payments)

Your use of Chef AI is also subject to the terms and policies of these third parties.

10. Disclaimer

Chef AI is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee that:

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chef AI shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential damages

  • Cooking failures, food-related issues, or allergic reactions

  • Losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated content

We may update these Terms from time to time.
Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the app or store listing.

Continued use of Chef AI constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
