Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Lockd ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lockd mobile application (the "App"). Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, available at https://junnybunnyprivacypolicy.blogspot.com/2026/07/lockd-privacy-policy.html, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By downloading, accessing, or using Lockd, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Eligibility

Lockd is intended for users who are at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country of residence, whichever is higher. Where local law sets a higher minimum than 16, that higher age applies.

By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should use the App only with the involvement, supervision, or consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you use Lockd to manage or restrict app access on a device belonging to a family member (for example, a child's device via Apple Family Sharing), you confirm that you are the parent, legal guardian, or otherwise have the legal authority to manage that device, and you are solely responsible for that use.

3. Description of Service

Lockd provides tools designed to help users manage their app usage and screen time, including:

• Restricting or blocking access to selected apps on a schedule you configure
• Displaying motivational messages and prompts intended to discourage compulsive scrolling
• Time-limited access windows and cooldown mechanics for blocked apps
• Usage insights and statistics about your app-blocking activity

Lockd uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks (including FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity) to enforce app restrictions. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

4. Disclaimer

Lockd is a productivity and digital wellbeing tool. It does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App and all information, messaging, and statistics provided within it are intended solely for general productivity and informational purposes.

Lockd is not a substitute for professional help. If you are concerned that your relationship with your phone or specific apps reflects a compulsive behavior, technology addiction, or a broader mental health condition, you should consult a qualified healthcare or mental health professional.

We do not guarantee that use of the App will result in any particular reduction in screen time or change in behavior. You agree that:

• You use Lockd at your own risk
• Lockd is not responsible for any consequences, missed communications, or damages resulting from apps being blocked or restricted, whether intended or unintended

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of Lockd require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly, quarterly, or annually, as selected at purchase) and automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Pricing and renewal terms are disclosed at the point of purchase.

Subscription payments are processed securely through the Apple App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Apple's billing, auto-renewal, and cancellation terms and policies. Lockd does not store your payment card information. Subscription management, cancellations, and refunds are handled through the App Store. If you are an EU consumer, you may also have statutory withdrawal and cancellation rights under applicable consumer protection law, which operate alongside Apple's policies.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App in a way that:

• Violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Interferes with the operation or security of the App
• Attempts to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the App, including any circumvention of Apple's Screen Time or Family Controls frameworks
• Uses the App to restrict or monitor another person's device without proper legal authority or their knowledge where such knowledge is legally required
• Uses the App for unauthorized commercial purposes

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the App if misuse is detected.

7. Account Termination and Data Deletion

You may stop using the App or delete your account at any time. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email address in Section 15, or through any in-app deletion feature we provide. Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except where we are required or permitted to retain certain data to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, design elements, trademarks, and technology used in Lockd are the property of Lockd or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lockd shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of data
• Loss of profits
• Missed notifications, messages, calls, or other consequences arising from an app being blocked or restricted
• Any harm, except to the extent such liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death, personal injury, or damage caused by our negligence or willful misconduct, which is not excluded or limited under the law of certain jurisdictions, including EU member states)

Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

10. App Availability

We strive to keep Lockd available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Blocking and restriction features depend on frameworks provided by Apple and may be affected by changes Apple makes to those frameworks, which are outside our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time, and where reasonably possible, we will provide advance notice of material changes that affect your use of paid features.

11. Third-Party Services

Lockd relies on Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to function, and may interact with other device-level services. These services operate under Apple's own terms and privacy policies, and Lockd is not responsible for their practices or availability.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence entitle you to bring proceedings in your local courts or provide you with rights that cannot be limited by this clause. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also be entitled to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document and, for material changes, provide notice through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lockd regarding your use of the App.
